The final 2 days of our vacation are going to be spend in LA. One of the days is going to be childlike fun in Universal Studio's and the other is doing absolutely nothing, Nothing, NOTHING! We've been doing something every day of our vacation and for our last day we decided we do nothing, Nothing, NOTHING! Except sitting by the pool of the hotel, drinking, reading and surfing the web :)

Next stop, home!

San Francisco, CA.

Wow... It's just like a real city :)

We have ofcourse been doing the tourist things, in no particular order: Union Square, China Town, Ride the cable cars, visited Fishermans Warf and particularly Pier 39, visited the crookedest part of Lombart street, Viewed and drove over the Golden Gate Bridge, visited Sausolito, took a hike through Muir Woods, done the Twin Peaks at night and got a great view over San Francisco, looked at some of the victorian style houses particularly beautifull was "postcard row" and took a boat ride over the San Francisco bay. Not to be missed is doing some fetish shopping, we went to Footworship (great collection of shoes), Madame-S and Stormy Leather.

The changes of meeting someone you know while you are on a vacation "on the other side of the world" are fairly small I think. During our visit to Madame-S's we ran into Amrita; A very pleasant meeting :)

Another unexpecting pleasure was that in the period we are in San Francisco Kumi was in town. She's usually all over the world and luckily for us she just happened to be in her hometown for a few weeks while we were also in San Francisco. Together with Kumi we visited the Bondage a-go-go met a number of "locals" making our visit to the Bondage a-go-go a very pleasurable one. One of the "locals" we met was one of the Knotty Boys, Dan. The pleasures and surprises at the Bondage a-go-go don't end here, we also ran into Japanese Mistress Dahlia and a two of her lovely models together with photographer Rik, last time we saw them was during the 2006 Nuit Demonia in Paris, France.

The next day we all went for some, fetish, shopping together and ended the day with a Korean barbeque in a restaurant of Kumi's choice; Kumi's very good choice.

The icing on our cake here in San Francisco; One of Dahlia's models, Moira, is also a writer for Sniper (a Japanese S&M magazine) and she held a short interview with me (10 questions for Kinbaku master) to be published in Sniper.

To finish our stay here in San Francisco in style, RopeMarks style, we're off to provide a private workshop in traditional kinbaku.

I think I'm leaving my heart in San Francisco...
Highway 1, try topping our stay in San Francisco!

Huge! Impressive! Beautifull! Nature at its best and most beautifull. The only "strange" things for us was that you had to drive through the national park (some sight are more than a 2 hour drive apart). In our tiny country (the Netherlands) a park is something you do on foot or by bike. It also struk me as weird that driving through something so beautyfull as Yosemite NP with normal benzine, gas and diesel power engines is allowed, because With the many visitors that the park gets this can certainly not be a good thing for the parks health...

Glacier Point, Yosemite NP, CA.

Go, go, go, to Reno and Lake Tahoe... uhm, San Fransisco... We decided to skip the Lake Tahoe/Reno part of our trip and spent some extra time in SF.

Can you say hot, hotter, hottest... We are here, in Furnace Creek, for one day only and the temperature is 48(!) degrees Celsius, in the shade! Luckily at night things cool down quite a bit, we had a chilly, and slightly windy, 40 degrees celsius at night... At least it's a dry heat :) Besides the intens high temperature Death Valley is a must-see imho.

We've been without internet connection the last couple off days (feels like we've been on a survival instead of relatively luxureus roundtrip :). So I'll post a number of blogs all at once.

Paris in Las Vegas, NV Las Vegas, Nevada, USA... First impression; you've gotta see it to believe it. It's impressive, loud, fake and so much more (or less, depending on your point of view). Honestly, I don't know what to think off Vegas, just make up your own mind, go see it! :) In Vegas we've seen New York, Venice, went on top of the stratosphere and some of its rides, done the Star Trek Experience, gaped at the grannies smoking and drinking behind the slot-machines (slot sluts?:), did the freemont experience (and saw more grannies doing some betting, smoking and drinking), visited a few fetish shop (and bought new toys :), went to "KA" the new Cirque du Soleil, played black jack (because my poker skills are sooo below average :), taken a trip to the Hoover dam and indulged in too much Starbucks! :)

Next stop; Death Valley...
